This blog is intended to lend assistance to companies looking for Toronto office space, as well as offering virtual office space Toronto, to small businesses and home based businesses.
I was at an event over the weekend and someone asked me where my office was located, so I told them at 1 Yonge Street in the Toronto Star building. They replied “Wow you have an office there! Isn’t that expensive?” All I could say was “NO not really” I explained to them that my Toronto office space was a business centre that offered a wide range of office space options, including virtual office space in Toronto.
This got them asking more questions. I told them that I originally signed up for a Toronto mail service with Telsec, so that I could get my business mail at a prestigious address rather than a post office box which sounds unprofessional. As I found myself needing a physical office, I then rented a shared office space that gave me access to boardrooms and modern office equipment like photocopiers, fax machine, and even a colour photo copier/printer.
Finally after talking to them for 20 or thirty minutes, I realized that I should have just given them the website for my Toronto office space at Telsec www.Telsec.net. I did tell them to visit the site and also told them to read the article at www.telsec.net/articles/article-01.html. I should carry around some Telsec business cards. It is amazing how many people I meet that would have never thought that business centres were an alternative to a small office space in Toronto.
With 2010 only days away, a New Year brings new hope and prosperity. While many people will make New Year’s resolutions like joining a gym , quiting smoking or making some other life changing choices, maybe it is your time to make a New Year’s resolution to grow your business.
The first step in growing your business is to have a prestigious business address. Your office space Toronto should be located at the number 1 address on Canada most famous street. Telsec Business Centres located at 1 Yonge Street (The Longest Street in the World), offers a prestigious address with plenty of Toronto office space options.
In 2010 your business needs an address that is not your home or not a PO box. Telsec also offers Toronto Mail service and Toronto business telephone answering service, plus a variety of other Virtual Office Toronto packages that can be tailored to your business needs.
If you chose to take a physical Toronto office space, just remember, at Telsec Business Centres the coffee and tea are always complimentary.
Today I left my home at the same time as my neighbor and we even took the same route right up until I turned south on Yonge Street to get to my downtown Toronto office space at 1 Yonge Street.
I was in my office about 30 minutes when I remembered that I forgot to ask my neighbor if I could borrow his electric leaf blower tonight. So I called his cell phone. It seems that he had just arrived at his Toronto office space in the core of the city, he had been stuck in downtown traffic for 25 minutes. So being only blocks south of the city core saves half an hour of commute.
My neighbor is an outside sales representative and works in a satellite office from the rest of the company, just so he can be near his downtown Toronto clients. The funny part of this story is that his biggest client is located in the same building that I have my Toronto serviced office. The real kicker was when my neighbor found out I was paying less for my serviced office Toronto than he was paying for his raw office space and all the amenities and equipment that he has to pay for on top of his rent.
With Telsec downtown Toronto office space, you not only save money, but also on your commute time into the city core.
Do you travel to you office by green transportation? Have you ever truly wanted to travel to your downtown Toronto office by the ultimate green transportation? While taking public transit is green, bicycling to the office is the truly green way to get to your office.
Some downtown office spaces can offer you, but only Telsec Toronto office space can offer a major bicycle route like the Martin Goodman Trail just outside the front door-a bicycle route like no other, an asphalt mostly off-road trail. The Martin Goodman Trail is part of the 730 kilometre Waterfront Trail that connects 41 communities from Niagara to Quebec along the Canadian Shores of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. It was named in memory of the former President and Editor-in-Chief of the Toronto Star who passed away in 1981. How fitting that Telsec is located in the Toronto Star Building at 1 Yonge Street.

I was recently asked by a friend to attend a meeting with them and to share my technical knowledge. My friend was considering making a substantial investment in a upstart business that claimed they were quite successful and had hundreds of potential clients visiting their offices every week. After seeing their office, I wanted to know how many clients took them seriously.
The office I visited was in the basement of a building whose main floor client was a noisy restaurant with wooden floors. I could hear every foot step from the floor above. After a 30 minute meeting my client and I emerged from the meeting. The client asked me what was my opinion. Before I gave my opinion to my client, I asked them what they thought of the space we just had the meeting in. They told me that it was quite distracting to hear the noise above, but the were most disappointed in the fact that we walked into the office space and were not greeted by anyone and we had to shout to announce we were there, because they did not have a receptionist, but only an empty reception area.
This made me ask the client more questions. If they were that successful or trying to show that they were that professional, would they have not had someone greeting us? Especially knowing that we were coming.
What really made the meeting go sour was the fact they were leeching their internet signal off of another building tenant and that it was not working. This did not make me confident in recommending my client to invest.
Having a prestigious address in a fully serviced Toronto office space location, tells your clients or investors that you truly mean business.
Since that meeting last week, my client has since upped his business presence and signed up with Telsec at their prestigious 1 Yonge Street address location. He realized that if he wanted to be taken seriously, he too needed a prestigious address and a professional support staff that included a professional receptionist and staff who knew how to make their space look like his own space.
I was talking with a client this week about designing their new web site and business cards. They did not want to put their home address on the site or their cards, but instead were considering a P.O. Box, until they found an office. I promptly told them that a P.O. Box looks more suspect than not putting an address at all.
I then told them of the virtues of a Toronto Virtual Office packages that would allow them to not only have a prestigious business address, but also a Toronto telephone number with a live professional receptionist answering his calls. I told him the best part of signing up for a Virtual Office with Telsec, is when he decides he needs an office, he can upgrade to being an Toronto office space client without the hassle of changing his address or telephone number.
A Toronto Virtual Office is a great way for a new company or a company that is just entering the Toronto market. Your company can grow without changing your address. As your company grows, you can expand to a larger team space or multiple offices. Even with a new location, as a virtual office client you can still have your calls answered by Telsec’s professional receptionist who will externally route the calls directly to the right individual in your company.
